Mytra Global Sdn. Bhd. and its group of companies (“Mytra Global”, “The Company”, “The Group” or “We”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

We are a Joint Operation (JO) between MYTRA GLOBAL SDN. BHD and leading oil refineries in Asia and Europe.  We Offer oil and gas exploration, production, and distribution. The company registered in Malaysia under registration number 202303201699 (003520011-U). Our address is L-2-1 No.60, Jalan Sri Hartamas 1, Taman Sri Hartamas, 50480, Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Malaysia.

 

General Information Gathering And Usage

We may collect information about you when you actively interact with our Website, for example when you contact us for further information, submit job applications, or take part in any of our online or digital initiatives.

We may collect your personal data which you voluntarily provide to us through our Website such as your name, your contact information such as your address, email address, telephone number, information which is collected from you automatically such as your log-in information, browser type, operating system, and URL information, and such other information depending on the purpose of your visit to our Website.

We may use personal data that we obtain from you:

  • in respect of personal details and contact information which you have provided to us, to identify you and personalise any communications with you;
  • in respect of information which is collected from you automatically, to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer, to allow you to participate in interactive features of our Website, when you choose to do so, as well as being part of our efforts to keep our Website safe and secure;

Gathering And Usage Of Data From Job Applicants

We collect information from you from the point when you apply for a job from us. This includes particulars which you disclose in the application form and/or your curriculum vitae as submitted  through our website.

We collect and process various categories of information, including but not limited to, the following:

Personal data such as your identification information, contact details, social security, employee provident funds/pension funds and tax identification numbers, qualifications, employment/work history, medical records, work performance records, attendance records, bank details, photographs, and all other forms of personal data collected during recruitment by the Company and/or during your employment, secondment, placement, internship or otherwise at the Company.

Sensitive personal data such as racial or ethnic origin, religion, mental or physical health, political opinions, criminal records and other information deemed to be sensitive personal data.

Personal data of third parties including your spouse, dependants and referees. 

You agree that we can use your information, including your personal data, for disclosure to local regulators, the Company’s partners and/or Co-Venturers under the Company’s licences, production sharing contracts or the like, and for any other purpose relating to your job application and/or relating to your employment, secondment, placement, internship or otherwise at the Company.

In order to assess whether an offer of employment/work, secondment, placement, internship or otherwise at the Company will be made to you, your personal data may be transferred or shared with our group of companies and offices, affiliates and related companies and other professionals or third parties who act for or with us.  

We may also release personal data to regulatory or law enforcement agencies, if they require us to do so. We may also disclose your information where we are permitted and requested to do so by law.

We may share, transfer or disclose the information provided by you in the forms and kept in our databases and server logs to comply with a legal requirement, for the administration of justice, to protect the security or integrity of our databases, to take precautions against legal liability, or in the event of a joint venture or collaboration, financing, sale, merger, corporate reorganisation, dissolution or similar event.

If we or our business merges with or is acquired by another business or company (or is considering either of these possibilities) we may share your personal data with the prospective owners of the business or company and their advisors. 

It is possible that your information may be transferred to recipients outside of Malaysia to countries which do not have any or equivalent data protection laws to those of Malaysia and you consent to us doing so. Where appropriate, before disclosing personal data to a third party, we may contractually require the third party to take adequate precautions to protect that personal data and to comply with applicable laws. 

If you do not furnish any mandatory personal data requested or wish to withdraw your consent for the processing of your personal data, you agree that (notwithstanding any agreement between you and us) we will be unable to process your personal data and consider any offer of employment/work and/or internship or the like. When you do so, you acknowledge that we will not be liable for any losses which you suffer as a result of your own action.

We comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. This provides, amongst other things, that the data we hold about you should be processed lawfully and fairly and must be kept securely to prevent unauthorised access by other people.

 

Processing Your Personal Data, And Obtaining Your Consent

Where we rely on your consent for processing your personal data, you may withdraw your previous consent to this processing at any time, by contacting us by using the contact details below. Please note, however, that withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on your previous consent prior to withdrawal.

There may be instances where we process your personal data for our legitimate interests or on the basis of other lawful grounds (i.e., because we have established a relationship with you and need to process your personal data in order to provide you with the information and/or services, where applicable,  you have requested), without having obtained your consent – this applies where our processing activities are governed by the applicable laws of certain jurisdictions in which we operate that do not require consent to have been obtained where there are legitimate interests and/or other lawful grounds to process the relevant personal data.

We do not seek your consent in such cases largely so that we provide you with services in an efficient way (or where in some cases it might not be possible for us to seek your consent because we must process personal data, for example, for the detection of fraud). Before processing your personal data, we will consider your rights and freedoms and will only commence such processing where we do not think your rights will be infringed.

Occasionally, we might receive or collect through our Website the types of personal data described in this Privacy Statement from individuals who are located in the European Union (“EU”)  or the European Economic Area (“EEA”) when accessing our Website.  It is possible that  part of the information which you provide to us from the EEA may in some instances be transferred to countries outside of EEA. The data protection laws in such countries may not provide the same level of protection for your personal data as provided for under European data protection laws. However, when we transfer your information outside of the EEA in this way, we take steps to ensure that appropriate security measures are taken with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected as outlined in this Privacy Statement.
